Indstrl Raw is a project in development by Amuck, inspired by the raw energy of LA’s underground industrial techno scene. Featuring exclusive merchandise and a podcast series showcasing local DJ sets, Indstrl Raw aims to highlight the authentic sounds and emerging talent that define this vibrant subculture.

 

James, known in the hard techno scene as Amuck, is rapidly emerging as a standout producer from Los Angeles. Blending industrial textures with dark, hypnotic drones, his sound is both powerful and immersive, drawing listeners into a world of relentless energy. His style, defined by heavy kicks and ominous soundscapes, has quickly set him apart in the underground techno community.

Amuck’s rise began in 2021, when he won the RE/FORM spring contest by unanimous decision. In 2022, he solidified his presence by winning a remix contest with Chemtrailz for Physical Techno. That same year, his remix caught the attention of techno heavyweight Charlotte de Witte, who played it during DJ Mag's Top 100 celebration, a historic moment marking her No. 1 spot for the second year in a row.

Whether it's behind the decks or in the studio, Amuck delivers high-intensity, industrial-infused sets that push boundaries and captivate audiences. His bold, unapologetic approach to techno is not just reshaping the genre, but also inspiring a new wave of producers and ravers alike.

Amuck has collaborated with some of the most respected collectives in the industry, including RE/FORM, SXTCY, TECHNO FAM, TECHNOIDS, DIRTY EPIC, and SINGULARITY. His talent has also earned him recognition and bookings from countless independent artists, who value his unique ability to visually translate the intensity and emotion of their performances.
